Expressing compliments berarti memberikan pujian atau penghargaan kepada orang lain atas sesuatu yang mereka lakukan atau miliki. Responding to compliments berarti menanggapi pujian atau penghargaan yang diberikan oleh orang lain. Berikut adalah beberapa contoh ekspresi yang dapat digunakan untuk expressing and responding to compliments:

- You look … (beautiful, handsome, gorgeous, etc.)
- You are … (smart, talented, kind, etc.)
- You have … (a great sense of humor, a lovely voice, a nice smile, etc.)
